I meant to put a comment on your introductory post, but for whatever reason I never quite got to it. I’m not going to say that I was or was not distracted by something shiny, but… I’ll just let the Lair’s newly-completed Sub-Level Twenty-Three for the Study and Classification of Shiny and/or Really Neat Objects speak for itself.

I think this is a really great idea, this magazine review of yours. I don’t have the time to read many magazines anymore, but I used to really enjoy picking up the latest issue of Biblical Archaeology Review from the newsstand. Borders (R.I.P.) used to carry it, and I believe I’ve also seen it at B&N, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find. I’ve always had an interest in history, especially of the Ancient Near East, so BAR hits a sweet spot for me. There are a few things about it that I think make it especially… interesting, from a purely social perspective, but I’d rather not prejudice your opinions.

Anyway, that’s my recommendation, and welcome to the Lair!
