I can't handle all the unanswered questions and dangling plot threads on this show anymore. Granted, I haven't seen every episode, but I think I've seen enough that I should have a handle on the following:

  • Austin is a kangaroo. Why doesn't he have an Australian accent? He's new to the neighborhood, but he never talks about his past. What's he hiding?
  • Speaking of out-of-their-environment characters, why doesn't Pablo the penguin appear to suffer from the slightest bit of discomfort despite the fact that he spends the majority of his time in a temperate climate and not in Antarctica? Granted, his precise species has not been disclosed, but he's definitely not a Galápagos penguin; everyone knows they don't wear beanies and bow ties.
  • And what the heck is Uniqua supposed to be? She's just...pink! And she has antennae! Is she an alien? Is it possible that the entire backyard is actually a terrarium aboard Uniqua's spacecraft? That would explain why the kids* spend much of their time in some sort of virtual reality. I can only assume that the conjoined backyard of their five houses is actually a holodeck.
  • Why don't we ever see the interior of any of the houses? Do they even have interiors? What if the only thing beyond those doors is some sort of cyro-stasis chamber where Tyrone, Pablo, Austin and Tasha (but not Uniqua, if my theory is correct) are monitored during their sleep cycles?

*"[K]ids" is a generic term here, as there are technically two calves (Tyrone the moose and Tasha the hippopotamus), one chick (Pablo the penguin) and one joey (Austin the kangaroo). I do not know whether Uniqua is actually an immature representative of her species (it may be that she is an adult and only posing as a child for purposes of interacting with the others), nor do I know what such immature representatives may be called.

Why, yes, I am at home watching television with my son today. Why do you ask?

Personally, I find the plot to be unbelievable, and the characters to be unsympathetic. And let's not get into that botched love scene from earlier this season. Some things cannot be forgiven.

I also have conjectured that Uniqua must be an alien.

Emphasis mine.

Do not make me bust out Rule 34 all over these forums.
