Who is Brett Domino? Well, you can find that information on his website, but here are the basics:

Brett Domino is...
  • ...the frontman for the Brett Domino Trio.
  • ...a keytarist.
  • ...a stylophonist.
  • ...from Leeds.
  • ...my newest hero.

Kudos to John Scalzi for embedding a medley of 80's hits performed on the stylophone in an entry on his blog, Whatever, today, but kudos to me for doing some legwork (okay clickwork) and finding these gems. They were hidden on the Intertubes and it was only through my advanced hyperclicking techniques that I was able to find them. Here, for the first time on this forum, is a small sampling of the accumulated brilliance of Brett Domino (tell me that's not an awesome name) and the Brett Domino Trio.

  • "Beat It", originally by Michael Jackson, performed entirely on keyboards by the Brett Domino Trio.
  • "The William Tell Overture", by some dead guy, performed on the stylophone by Brett Domino.
  • That 80's medley I mentioned earlier, originally by various artists including (but not limited to) that one group that did "Eye of the Tiger" and that other group that did "The Final Countdown", performed here on the stylophone (with keyboard backing track courtesy, I suspect, of Casio) by Brett Domino.

What's that? You want a yuletide-appropriate song? Yeah, they've got that covered, too.

Honestly, if I had been this cool at the tender age of twenty-six, there's no way I could possibly have made it to the ripe old age of thirty-three before some lucky woman bore the fruit of my loins. It would not have been possible for my oats to remain un-sown for so long.
