News: The moat dredging is scheduled for 1200 hours this Wed. Petunia (the giant squid) will be irritable during this time. We recommend using the south entrance instead of the drawbridge. --Mgmt.

Mrs. Frisby is in search of a rechargeable power source that uses a hydrogen-absorbing alloy for the negative electrode and nickel oxyhydroxide for the positive electrode. What sort of power source will meet Mrs. Frisby's requirements?

That'd be the Nickel Metal Hydride or NiMH rechargeable batteries that are available nearly everywhere, no?

I protest, I think he means the Panasonic Oxyride batteries - they're better because they are 1.7v instead of 1.5v
http://www.geek.com/articles/mobile/panasonic-oxyride-batteries-2005048/

"The battery uses newly developed oxyhydroxide, which releases a high voltage to the manganese dioxide typically used in alkaline batteries. Then a new vacuum pouring technology allows inserting a higher quantity of electrolyte in the battery."

(or perhaps Duracell PowerPix, but the Oxyride batteries are $1 less)

Your protest is so noted. Alas, Oxyride batteries are not rechargeable, and thus fail to meet Mrs. Frisby's needs.

Ok fine, fine, fine howabout this:

A yeast powered fuel cell that feeds on the glucose in human blood?
That's rechargeable right? Right?

If I may mangle a metaphor, you are casting your net rather far afield. While I don't doubt that such a fuel cell will come in very, very handy for our future endeavors (come to think of it, the thing may solve a few problems we're currently working through) it still fails to meet Mrs. Brisby's very basic requirements with respect to the electrodes.

Perhaps your energies ought to be redirected from the task of stealing blob's point to gaining one of your own by answering Question 1. Just a thought.

No, I heard a rumor that one involved math.

No, I heard a rumor that one involved math.

That rumor originates with a very basic, very primal misconception of numbers in general. An ordered list is, in and of itself, not an indication that maths are required in fulfilling the requirements of the quiz.
