Contest Winner: Name Overlord Johnson’s Laptop

The Overlords would like to extend their thanks to everyone who entered the Name Overlord Johnson’s Laptop Contest. We received nearly seventy unique entries, some of which had us consulting Wikipedia and others not even the all-knowing all-seeing Google could provide any insight into. In all the entries, there were only three duplicates: Abbott & Costello, Laurel & Hardy, and Pinky & The Brain.

The winning entry was submitted by Norm (AKA @Technog33k) from The Normanomicon. Norm submitted multiple entries, one of which was Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, which speaks nicely to the dual nature of the MacBook and conjures images of David Hasselhoff on Broadway.

“It’s good,” said Overlord Miller, “but it needs a little…something.”

“I agree,” said Overlord Johnson. “How about vegemite?”

“Brilliant!” exclaimed the Overlords in unison. “To the Pop Culture Recombinator!”

Thanks to the wonders of Geek Science, Overlord Johnson’s laptop has been named. The Windows 7 partition shall henceforth be known as “Dr. Heckyll” and the Mac OS X partition “Mr. Jive”.
